Paul Toplak began his career in a small, family construction business. He joined Martin-Harris as a project engineer in 2000 with an Associate Degree in Building Engineering technology from British Columbia Institute of Technology. Throughout his tenure in project management, Toplak oversaw notable and high profile projects for the company’s Special Projects Group, such as USA Today facility for Las Vegas and Castaways implosion/demolition. For the past four years, Toplak has been the director of special projects, responsible for approximately $40 million of MHC’s overall revenue. He was instrumental in the strategic direction and growth of special projects, dedicated to providing specific interior and specialty construction requirements. His outstanding leadership and communication skills led to client satisfaction and a position on the MHC Executive Board. His ability to strategically plan and implement action is put to the ultimate test as vice president of business development. Toplak is navigating the company’s business development through changes in the construction industry, the current market and an expansion through the southwest United States. Through his leadership, Martin-Harris has been able to capitalize on their federal experience, strengthening their regional offices; generally broadening the scope of Martin-Harris Construction’s footprint.
