Peggy Chandler is senior vice president, community development, for The Howard Hughes Corporation, an affiliate of General Growth Properties Inc., of Chicago. Chandler is responsible for the sale of all land in Summerlin, including both finished lots and parcel sales to Summerlin’s merchant home builders for single- and multi-family homes and land sales for non-residential uses, including public and private school sites, worship sites, hotels and other commercial uses. Chandler also oversees Summerlin’s custom homesite sales operations as well as marketing and realtor relations. Chandler began her career at The Howard Hughes Corporation in 1981 and has held a variety of positions within the corporation. Prior to joining the Summerlin division, Chandler held the position of manager, real estate sales for Howard Hughes Realty Inc. In this capacity, she was involved in the disposition of vacant land that was not intended to be developed by the corporation. These numerous holdings included a variety of commercial and residential parcels that were located throughout the Las Vegas valley. In 1989, Chandler joined the Summerlin division of The Howard Hughes Corporation as manager, builder relations and assisted in the sale of the very first parcels of land within Summerlin.
