Since joining Pugsley. Simpson. Coulter. Architects in 2007, Filary has been a true leader for the firm. He has implemented Design Forums and established Project Standards for the office. Although design is his specialty, Filary possesses the rare ability to be able to conceptualize a design and see it all the way through construction. He is one of the firm’s primary designers, project manager, technical architect, and even performs his own construction administration. Filary has used his design talent and technical versatility to develop numerous successful projects throughout his career, most recently working on the University of Nevada Las Vegas Athletic Academic Building, a Slush Bar for the Golden Gate Casino, and the award-winning design of Lotus Broadcasting Studio addition. Filary ihas served as the director of Design Excellence and Community Enhancement for AIA Las Vegas, and he is the president-elect for the chapter. Filary also sits on the AIA Finance Committee and is a Director for the AIA Nevada State Board. Beyond architecture, Filary's commitment to helping his community is steadfast. He was the firm’s team captain for the Kendall Tenney’s Make-A-Wish and Southern Nevada Candllelighter's charity run events. He has served as the event chair for the Northwest Valley's American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Other nonprofit groups such as the local Boys & Girls Clubs and Safe Nest Shelters have also benefited from his design services. Filary is a registered Architect in both the state of Michigan and Nevada. He received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University and a Master of Architecture from North Carolina State University.
