Sharron Angle, the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, was registered as a Republican until 1984, when she changed her voter registration to Democrat.
According to the Associated Press, she stayed a Democrat until at least 1988. AP reports she changed her registration to the Independent American Party in 1996. Then, in 1997, she registered as a Republican again.
Does this make her a RINO (Republican in Name Only)?
Why did the Tea Party endorse someone who was once a Democrat?
Does the term opportunistic come to mind?
