It’s big and coming soon: Larry Flynt’s Hustler Mega Club

It's sooooo big and, finally, coming soon. Larry Flynt's Hustler mega-club! Though its presence on 5969 Dean Martin Drive has been evident from the I-15 for quite a while (two-and-a-half years to be exact) the approximately 70,000-square-foot, four-story "erotic events center" should open in August or September. If you still can't spot the massive club, out front a seductive female sculpture in a giant bowl holding a torch with a spiraling flame will guide you to the property.

As the self-proclaimed most-expensive gentlemen's club ever built, the new Hustler club is one of 25 Hustler clubs across the country. It's is a virtual stripper city. The Hustler Hollywood Store alone — reached after entering the massive chandelier-lit porte-cochère and main entrance — is around 25,000 square feet — larger than many other Vegas adult venues. The store, with a grand staircase as a focal point, will carry clothing, adult novelties and more. It also has its own entrance for easy access.

The main room of the strip club will be awash in vibrant hues of every color in the rainbow. Multilevel banquette seating throughout the first floor will offer a view of the main stage for all. However, if patrons look up, a glass catwalk overhead where dancers will strut their stuff is equally enticing. And, in case you miss the much-talked-about lip-shaped urinals from Cherry nightclub, Hustler has imported similar French fixtures to make sure every space in the club provokes a good time.

On the second level, the DJ booth presides over the main stage between two exclusive VIP Grand Honey Suites reserved for Flynt and owner Jason Mohney, with more than 20 VIP suites on the second level, some of which have a direct views of the aerial catwalks or the main stage.

Even life on top will be good at Hustler. Plans for the multipurpose roof patio include a wedding chapel, hot tubs, cabanas, separate bar, nightlife events and more, with a fantastic view of the city that'll catch your eye as much as the dancers inside the club.

During the Weekly's exclusive tour of the construction site, marketing director Larry Beard said Hustler will have room for 600 dancers, plus nail and hair stations for rent. Look for a job fair in the next few weeks. While subsequently getting lost in the maze of dressing rooms and offices in the basement, we even spotted the beginning stages of Mohney's private office with synthetic turf and a three-hole putting green.

The original teeny-tiny Hustler club (a mere accoutrement when the mega-club opens) has tentative renovation plans for a private party room or possibly a restaurant. Still operating daily, we're told the construction workers on site are some of its best customers.
