International Game Technology Chief Executive Patti Hart was elected to Yahoo's board of directors, the Internet company announced Thursday.
Hart was elected to the board along with Intuit Chief Executive Brad Smith.
"The Yahoo team is incredibly talented and I look forward to sharing my insight and expertise as Yahoo continues to build upon its vision of being the center of people's online lives and delivering the best consumer and advertiser experiences," Hart said in a statement.
Hart joined IGT as president and chief executive officer in April 2009. She's served as a director on the company's board since June 2006. Prior to joining IGT, Hart was the chairman and chief executive officer of Pinnacle Systems, Inc. and of Excite@Home, Inc.
