Three teenagers in a small car were sent to University Medical Center this morning after the car was struck by a school bus full of students in the northwest valley.
The car was stopped behind a school bus when a second school bus struck the car from behind, Metro Police spokesman Jay Rivera said. The incident occurred at 6:41 a.m. near Centennial High School at the intersection of Alpine Ridge Way and Launch Pad Avenue.
No one on the full-sized yellow buses was injured, Las Vegas Fire and Rescue spokesman Tim Szymanski said.
The occupants of the car suffered injuries that weren't life-threatening. One of the occupants, Rivera said, was able to walk away after the incident.
A Clark County School District spokesman says school officials are investigating.
