Troy Miller rushed and passed for a touchdown Friday night to lead the Del Sol High football team to a 35-20 victory against visiting Green Valley.

Del Sol closed the game with 21 unanswered points in erasing a six-point halftime deficit. Its defense recorded four interceptions and had two goal-line stands in holding Green Valley scoreless in the second half.

Del Sol improves to 4-4 overall and 2-2 in the Southeast Division. After dropping its first two league games, the defending Sunrise Region champion Dragons have regrouped with consecutive double-digit victories.

“We are kind of back on track,” Del Sol coach Preston Goroff said. “We are definitely playing better football. We are playing the full game now.”

Chris Marshall had two rushing touchdowns for Del Sol, and wide receiver Jason Meuir had a scoring reception.

“We threw the ball pretty well tonight,” Goroff said. “Jason was big. He was our go-to guy in the air.”
