The tough Southeast Division

Las Vegas Sun reporters Case Keefer and Ray Brewer break down high school football's tough Southeast Division. Five of the league's seven teams are part of the Sun's top-10 rankings.

Foothill High quarterback Parker Riggin completed 19 of 29 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns Saturday in a 31-12 victory against host Desert Pines.

The win improved Foothill’s record to 3-0.

“We felt pretty good about tonight,” Foothill coach Marty Redmond said. “They were a much more physical team than we had seen the last two weeks. …We gave our quarterback a ton of time to throw tonight. It was a definite improvement.”

Junior wide receiver Kyle Keplinger had 101 yards of total offense and two touchdowns, and senior Connor Afoa had 89 yards of offense and two touchdowns.

Foothill’s Connor Waitkus added six catches for 70 yards.
