The Greenspun Media Group, publisher of the Sun, on Monday will launch VEGAS INC, a weekly business magazine that will incorporate the content of its predecessor weekly, In Business Las Vegas, with in-depth cover stories tackling a broad mix of issues relevant to the business community.

The publication, which will have the distinctive character of a magazine as opposed to a newspaper tabloid, will feature stories, columns, polls, interviews and profiles relevant to corporate executives, managers and entrepreneurs, reflecting on the region’s progress in emerging from the recession and mapping its future.

“The in-depth news that was published in In Business will find a new home in VEGAS INC, which will also provide comprehensive coverage, longer-form stories and a creative design that will appeal to busy executives and business owners who rely on their BlackBerrys and iPhones for news and information,” VEGAS INC Editor-in-Chief Richard Pérez-Feria said. “It will not only stand unique among the business publications in this region, but will hold its own against the very best in the country.”

Pérez-Feria, who brings to Las Vegas a successful history editing and publishing award-winning magazines in New York, Miami and San Francisco, will be assisted by an expanded editorial staff, including the In Business team of journalists as well as other Greenspun Media Group writers.

Complimentary subscriptions are available by contacting [email protected] or calling (702) 990-8993.

The glossy-cover publication will focus on a single, hot-button topic weekly and is built around three key sections:

• Big Story, offering a comprehensive article that along with the cover story and “The Interview,” an exclusive Q&A with newsmakers, will comprise the long-form articles in VEGAS INC. The feature “20 Answers” will offer a broad perspective on current topics by posing the same question to 20 businesspeople from various professions and perspectives.

• Right Now, which will open the magazine with a potpourri of book reviews, factoids, news of business deals, behind-the-scenes glimpses including power lunch spots and even features about non-English-speaking businesses.

• In Business, containing all of the news and information familiar to its readers, including its signature coverage of gaming, tourism and development.

In conjunction with the new publication, the business affairs television program “In Business” will change its name to “VEGAS INC.” Veteran co-anchors Dana Gentry and Jeff Gillan will continue to lead the 30-minute program on KSNV Channel 3. The program airs at 6:30 p.m. Sundays.
