Metro Police have arrested the brother of a 25-year-old man shot to death during an argument in the southwest valley Sunday afternoon.

Thomas John Enright, 34, was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center in connection with the death of his brother, Brian Enright. Thomas John Enright was charged with murder with a deadly weapon.

Police responded to the 6300 block of Whispering Clouds Court, near Jones Boulevard and Cactus Avenue, at 12:41 p.m. Sunday to investigate reports of a shooting, officials said.

Officers arrived to find Brian Enright lying in the doorway of a home with an apparent gunshot wound, police said. He was taken to University Medical Center's trauma unit, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives' investigation revealed the brothers lived together at the home and had been involved in an argument before the shooting, authorities said.

The argument turned into a physical confrontation, at which point Thomas John Enright allegedly shot his brother, Brian, officials said.

Police later recovered the weapon from the home, officials said.

Thomas John Enright is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, according to jail records. He is being held in the detention center without bail.

Police said the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is being asked to contact Metro's homicide unit at (702) 828-3521 or, to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or visit www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
