Even if I were a CPA — which I’m not — I wouldn’t be able to make heads or tails out of hundreds of pages of IRS regulations and guidelines at tax time.
I don’t believe there is a CPA on Earth who completely knows all of the ins and outs of government taxation. It’s multiple confusion for anyone.
I think it’s about time we go to a flat tax. The people spending less will pay less. The big spenders will pay more — and no deductions of any kind.
A 10 percent flat tax on goods by the federal government would bring in a lot more dollars than the confusing mess it has printed out in hundreds of pages of gibberish! And there should be a flat tax on corporations, too.
