Meet us at the tree: Las Vegas Weekly helps Nu Sanctuary celebrate its first birthday this weekend.

Las Vegas Weekly at Nu’s One-Year Anniversary Join the Weekly staff in celebrating Nu Sanctuary Lounge’s first year in business! A ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce is planned for 8 p.m. with complimentary Skyy cocktails and appetizers served during the Town Square venue’s birthday bash. April 28, 7-10 p.m., free.

Stoplight Mixer at Blush Meeting new people in our bustling city can prove quite difficult sometimes. Blush makes it easier this Thursday with a dress code that gives you more insight than an Ed Hardy T-shirt. Wear green to indicate you’re flirting, yellow if you’re there to mingle and red if it’s networking and nothing more. Ladies enjoy free champagne 11 p.m. to midnight. April 28, doors at 9 p.m., $30, local ladies and industry free.

Gang Bang Mobster Party at Piranha Okay, so the “made men” at the St. Valentine’s Day massacre weren’t shirtless under their zoot suit blazers. But then again, those mobsters probably weren’t offered free booze to strip to their skivvies. Win tickets to the Mob Experience at Piranha’s gangster bash and remember your sexy mob attire to receive an open bar from 11 p.m. to midnight. April 29, doors at 10 p.m., $20, locals free.

I’m With the DJ with Z-Trip at Haze It’s been quite some time since his residency reigned at Rain inside the Palms. The mash-up master (Spin calls him “the original Girl Talk, only better”) returns to Las Vegas for an installment of the Aria venue’s I’m With the DJ weekly party. April 29, doors 10:30 p.m., $30.

Charlie Sheen at Chateau “The partying run I was on made Sinatra, Flynn, Jagger, Richards—all of them—look like droopy-eyed, armless children.” Well, the tiger blood tirade that the Two and a Half Men star talks of pretty much began right here in Vegas, and the winning warlock is returning to Sin City this weekend to host at the Paris nightspot. April 30, doors at 10 p.m., $30 men, $20 women, local ladies free.

Paul Oakenfold at Rain The international superstar returns this weekend to his Saturday night residency at the Palms. Spinning a killer set isn’t the only event on his agenda, either—the DJ will join Chef Geno in Nove Italiano’s kitchen the same day for a “Perfecto” edition of the restaurant’s monthly cooking class. April 30, doors at 10 p.m., $40.

Kaskade at Encore Beach Club The superstar DJ sailed through the dayclub’s opening season as its first official resident. Now he’s back for another summer under the sun at the expansive pool property. It all starts this Sunday. May 1, doors at 11 a.m., $50 men, $40 women.

Rob Base at Lavo Does it really take two to make a thing go right? Find out this Wednesday, as the rapper performs at Lavo’s all-new “Old School Wednesdays” without hip-hop partner-in-crime DJ E-Z Rock. Maybe it’ll only take one to “make it out of sight” this time around ... May 4, doors at 11 p.m., $20 men, $10 women, local ladies free.
