Gunmen flee scene of Loomis truck robbery

Armored truck heist suspects on the loose

Metro Police are looking for at least two masked robbers who held up a Loomis armored truck at gunpoint this afternoon in northwest Las Vegas.

The robbery occurred just after 3 p.m. outside a Nevada State Bank at 6505 N. Buffalo Drive near U.S. 95 and Sky Pointe Drive.

Officials say two, possibly three, masked gunmen fled the scene older, faded, dark blue Dodge van. No one was injured.

The empty van was found on the 6000 block of Sky Pointe Drive.

One suspect is described as a white male about 5-foot-10 wearing a gray mask and gray shirt and carrying a handgun.

A second masked suspect was also described as armed with an unknown type of firearm.

The FBI will assist with the investigation investigation.
