Hot Spots: New Year’s Eve edition

Oakenfold brings his Perfecto party back to Rain for one last hurrah on NYE.

Fergie at 1Oak Just one of the Black Eyed Peas spending NYE on the Strip, the “Dutchess” hosts the official opening of the Mirage’s new nightlife concept imported from New York City (and that’s “1 Of A Kind” for you nightlife newbies). NYC’s DJ Jesse Marco supplies the sound, and 1Oak’s initiating partiers receive champagne for the midnight toast. December 31, doors at 10 p.m., $200.

Downtown Block Party at Bar+Bistro & Artifice Count down 2011 at Artifice and Bar+Bistro with Collective Zoo presenting a bar-hopping New Year’s celebration. Sip on free drinks from 9 to 11 p.m. at Bar+Bistro, with champagne toasts every hour till the West Coast countdown. DJ sets, live reggae by ONEness Vibe and fire-dancing complete the NYE extravaganza. December 31, doors at 8 p.m., $40.

Steve Angello at XS One-third of DJ trio Swedish House Mafia, Angello plays his last beats of 2011 at the Encore nightspot. If you’re really into SHM, fellow Mafia DJ Sebastian Ingrosso brings the noise to the club for a pre-New Year’s Eve party on Friday. December 31, doors at 9:30 p.m., $300 men, $150 women.

2012 Gauge New Year’s Eve Party at Gilley’s Kick 2012 off country-style at the Treasure Island saloon and dance hall. Jam to live music by DJs and country rockers Austin Law, take a shot at the mechanical bull ($5) and enjoy the Strip’s fireworks from the venue’s outdoor viewing area. An open bar and hors d’oeuvres from 9 p.m. to midnight round out the countrified celebration. December 31, 9 p.m., $149-$212.

Paul Oakenfold at Rain Although the superstar DJ’s resident Perfecto party came to a close in October, Oakenfold returns to Rain for one last performance of the epic EDM show. Liquid Todd and resident Zen Freeman also man the DJ booth. (Nightlife note: Oakie also supplies sounds for Hyde Bellagio’s New Year’s Day debut). December 31, doors at 9 p.m., $110.

Chris Brown at Pure 2011 was all about F.A.M.E. for the hip-hop star. Brown follows his fourth album with Fortune in 2012, and MTV.com reports that singles should drop soon. Fans of the performer have something to say “Yeah 3X” about this NYE, as he plays host at the Caesars nightspot’s year-end party. December 31, doors at 8 p.m., $150.

Bruno Mars at The Bank The Grammy-winning artist leads the countdown and performs his chart-topping tunes (and covers of classic songs) with a nine-piece band. Ring in 2012 with Mars at the Bellagio nightclub with a complimentary glass of bubbly at midnight. December 31, doors at 10 p.m., $200.

2012 Bridge Bash at New York-New York Was Times Square on your short list of places to party on NYE? Then consider this alternative at New York-New York’s Brooklyn Bridge and Nine Fine Irishmen pub, complete with an open bar, live entertainment and an up-close-and-personal view of the midnight fireworks show. December 31, 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., $150.

Say What? NYE Champagne & Bling at Beauty Bar The hipster hangout presents a multifaceted NYE extravaganza. Eye the garments on display during the evening’s fashion show, sip on $1 glasses of champagne, rave to DJ sets and rock to live performances by Cinemetric, Hunnypot, Italian Japanese, The Objex, Paria B & DUWOPRose. December 31, doors at 9 p.m., $5.

Grand Opening Party at RPM Nightclub Though the new Tropicana club opens on Friday, R&B songstress Mary J. Blige hosts the venue’s Saturday night grand-opening bash. NYE also serves as the launch for the club’s Saturdays: Unleashed party, with sounds supplied by LA’s Power 106 DJ sourMILK. December 31, doors at 8 p.m., $99 men, $50 women.

Kim Kardashian at Tao It has been a big year for Kim. She got engaged, got married and filed for divorce. She also spent plenty of time walking red carpets in Vegas when not creating near-constant tabloid fodder. The unsinkable reality star can raise a glass at midnight and toast to her big 2011. Passed hors d’oeuvres, an open bar from 9 to 11 p.m. and a midnight champagne toast complete Tao’s NYE bash. December 31, doors at 9 p.m., $225, ticket allows access to Lavo after midnight.

NYE 2012 at Krave EDM artist Nadia Ali performs live and hosts the countdown. Clubgoers also enjoy aerial performances, an open bar (text GAY to 313131) until 10:30 p.m., a $2,012 cash balloon drop and a champagne toast at midnight. RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Yara Sofia makes a special appearance, and partiers can sober up with a free breakfast buffet after 4 a.m. December 31, doors at 9 p.m., $60, $25 for locals.

Robbie Rivera at Vanity The Puerto Rican DJ brings his Dance or Die tour to the Hard Rock Hotel, with DJs Stellar and Richard Beynon also taking the tables. December 31, doors at 10 p.m., $100.

Kourtney Kardashian & Scott Disick at Chateau Disick’s no stranger to Chateau; we even saw his partying in action on an episode of Kourtney and Kim Take New York. The eldest Kardashian sister joins him, as the couple hosts the end-of-year bash at the Paris nightspot. Enjoy the midnight fireworks from the club’s rooftop gardens. December 31, doors at 10 p.m., $100.

Will.i.am at Surrender The other Black Eyed Pea counting down 2011 with Las Vegas, Will.i.am brings the noise to the Encore nightspot with DJ Ammo also supplying sounds. Partiers can partake in an open bar from 9 to 11 p.m. and enjoy the midnight fireworks from Surrender’s outdoor viewing area. December 31, doors at 9 p.m., $175 men, $75 women.

Rod Daily at Piranha Party with a porn star. Adult film actor Rod Daily hosts the gay club’s NYE soiree. Dance the night away (to sets by DJs Drew G, Mikey Swift, Chris Adams and Vago), sip on free drinks from 10 to 11:30 p.m. and score some dough for the new year in the evening’s cash balloon drop. December 31, doors at 10 p.m., $40, $20 for locals.
