Roads near the entrance of the Wynn Las Vegas on Las Vegas Boulevard have reopened after a chemical spill this morning.

Las Vegas Boulevard is open in both directions again near Spring Mountain Road. The eastbound off-ramps of Interstate 15 at the Spring Mountain Road exit also were reopened.

Clark County spokeswoman Stacey Welling said about 200 gallons of sulfuric acid leaked from a pipe that broke as a contractor was filling it outside the resort. The Clark County Fire Department responded about 8 a.m. to the incident.

One man who slipped and fell in the chemical was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in stable condition, she said.

Most of the substance, which was intended for the resort's water feature, has been neutralized by hazardous materials crews.

Earlier in the morning, both directions of traffic on Las Vegas Boulevard had been closed from Spring Mountain Road to Circus Circus Drive.
