Police seek information in beating that led to man’s death

Assault

Metro Police are asking for the public's help in identifying four suspects who allegedly beat and robbed a 68-year-old man who later died from his injuries.

Police said four men approached Alex Mouton about 5 p.m. Feb. 3 near the intersection of D Street and Owens Avenue before violently robbing him.

During the attack, the suspects are accused of pushing Mouton to the ground, kicking him and stealing his money, police said. Mouton didn't seek immediate medical care and died from related injuries Feb. 18, authorities said.

The Clark County Coroner's Office ruled Mouton's death a homicide.

Anyone with information about the incident is being asked to call Metro's homicide section at 702-828-3521 or, to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or visit www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
