A Las Vegas woman was critically injured in a single-car accident Saturday morning in the eastern valley.
Metro Police said a 1993 Honda Del Sol was traveling north at 5:44 a.m. on Sheppard Drive near Harmon Avenue and Boulder Highway.
Investigators said the vehicle failed to follow a turn in the road and went through a block wall and into the yard of a home in the 4500 block of Sheppard Drive, on the west side of the road.
The driver of the vehicle, identified by police as Dana Stegenga, 39, was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with critical injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, police said.
