Let’s tax outsourcing; create jobs in U.S.

Regarding the article on job creation in Wednesday’s Las Vegas Sun, “Parties insist they’re pulling for the same thing,” I would like to offer a simple suggestion on how to create jobs: Let’s pressure corporations to bring back some of the jobs they have outsourced. Let’s impose a heavy outsourcing tax on the additional profits they make from outsourcing jobs.

Why should corporations be rewarded for sending jobs overseas with additional profits while we suffer the consequences of a poor economy? At the very minimum, the tax would help pay unemployment claims, and it would make corporations think twice about sending jobs overseas in the first place.
