Report: Households in ZIP code 89144 wealthiest in Las Vegas

The average household income for the Las Vegas Valley is $73,059, according to numbers released Thursday by Las Vegas-based Applied Analysis.

Within Las Vegas city limits, the ZIP code with the highest average income is in Summerlin: 89144, which has an average household income of $113,928.

The valley ZIP code with the highest average income was 89044, in the Anthem area of Henderson. The average household income in Anthem was $131,445. The valley ZIP code with the lowest average income was 89085, in North Las Vegas, which had an average income of $35,084.

According to the annual Las Vegas Perspective, 89044 has a population of 16,655 while 89085 has a population of 3,313 residents.

In 89044, which is generally east of Interstate 15 and south of the Henderson Executive Airport, the median income was $99,760, still the highest in the valley. In 89085, which is generally north of the 215 Beltway and east of Decatur Boulevard, the median income was $27,953 – slightly higher than the median income of $26,592 in the 89101 ZIP code, which includes downtown Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas ZIP code with the lowest average income was 89101 (which includes a portion of unincorporated Clark County). The average household income was $36,058.
