Henderson Rotary garage sale to benefit tsunami relief Japan

The Rotary Club of Henderson is hosting a “Mega Garage Sale” on April 9 to benefit the club and relief efforts in Japan after the March 11 earthquake and tsunami.

Residents are invited to the event between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Salvation Army parking lot located at 830 E. Lake Parkway. Items on sale are to include furniture, electronics, clothing and antiques.

This is the first major garage sale for the Henderson Rotary, one of about 32,000 clubs in the international volunteer organization. The Rotary clubs address issues such as illiteracy, disease, hunger, poverty, lack of clean water and the environment
