Roadway improvements will restrict travel lanes on Rainbow Boulevard in northwest Las Vegas for the next two months.
Beginning on Wednesday, Rainbow Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction around the clock between Gowan Road and Red Coach Avenue, the city said.
The closures will allow crews to perform preventative maintenance on the busy road.
The city suggests motorists use Tenaya Way or Rancho Drive to avoid Rainbow Boulevard when traveling in the area.
Las Vegas Paving is the contractor for the project, which is being funded by the city and Regional Transportation Commission.
