The 1995 Windstar minivan driven by James Zell failed to stop or yield at the intersection and was hit by a 2009 Hyundai Sonata, driven by a 76-year-old woman, police said.

The minivan to rolled onto its side and into a 2006 Hyundai Elantra, police said. The Zells were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The 18-year-old woman driving the Elantra and the driver and a passenger in the Sonata were taken to St. Rose Hospital Siena Campus, police said.

Police closed off the intersection for four hours to investigate the crash, officials said. These are the fifth and sixth traffic-related deaths in Henderson this year.
