Fire breaks out at apartment complex sauna

An early morning fire at an apartment complex caused an estimated $30,000 to $40,000 damage, Clark County spokeswoman Stacey Welling said.

At 5:40 a.m., the Clark County Fire Department received a report of smoke coming from the roof of an office area at the Diamond Sands Apartments, 8445 S. Las Vegas Blvd., near Wigwam Avenue, Welling said.

Firefighters put out the fire in a sauna room near the office, she said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
