A 5-year-old boy apparently shot his father in the arm at their home in the southwest valley, Metro Police said.
Officers responded to the home at 8:14 a.m. after a family member reported the shooting in the 100 block of Castle Course Avenue, near South Fort Apache Road, Metro spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said. The man was transported to University Medical Center in unknown condition.
Police have not yet released details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
