A man accused of shooting at Circus Circus security officers after he was caught breaking into a car in the parking garage was arrested Thursday, Metro Police said.
Joshua Olvera, 22, of Las Vegas was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on three counts of attempted murder with a weapon and one count of burglary with a weapon, officials said.
Police received reports about 3 a.m. of a shooting in the area of the 3000 block of South Industrial Road.
Police said three security officers had interrupted an auto burglary while on patrol inside the casino parking garage. A man ran away and fired several shots from a handgun at the officers, but no one was hit, police said.
The officers were armed, but they did not return fire. They helped police locate and identify the suspect, authorities said.
