The Art District’s newest project informally announced itself Friday when part of the signage for Art Square was installed on the building adjacent to Artifice.

The multi-use space, directly across the street from the Arts Factory, is the third project involving Brett Sperry, owner of Brett Wesley gallery, who opened the successful urban lounge, Artifice, last year with planning commissioner Trinity Schlottman of Trinity Haven Development.

The new space is scheduled to open this spring, and officials have already been meeting with potential tenants. On Wednesday, Las Vegas’ Redevelopment Agency approved a $50,000 Commercial VIP grant for façade improvements.

Sperry says the project is still in its early stages, which means we’ll have to wait patiently. Information about the Art Square, located at 1025 South First Street, and an early rendering of the project’s first phase can be found at artsquarelv.com.
