Accident snarls traffic on I-15 outside of Primm

An afternoon traffic accident briefly shut down the southbound lane of Interstate 15 and is currently blocking the right travel lane.

At 3:53 p.m., Nevada Highway Patrol received a call about a traffic accident just north of the Primm exit, said spokesman Loy Hixson. The collision involved an Infiniti passenger vehicle and a semitrailer; it left the car's driver with minor injuries and an infant in critical condition.

Investigators are still on the scene and the lane will be open following the investigation, Hixson said.
