A convicted Las Vegas pimp was sentenced to 13 life prison terms Tuesday for his conviction on a litany of counts, including kidnapping, battery, coercion and pandering with force.

Clark County District Judge Elissa Cadish found Raymond Christopher Sharpe, 48, was a habitual offender and sentenced him to 13 life terms, 10 of which would run concurrently. On one of the life sentences, for first-degree kidnapping with a deadly weapon, Cadish stipulated Sharpe serve his term without the possibility of parole. The other sentences carry the possibility of parole after 10 years.

Sharpe was arrested July 2, 2011, in a northwest valley neighborhood after Metro Police responded to reports of a partially naked woman banging on doors throughout the neighborhood. Authorities were led to Sharpe after a witness reported seeing a man drag the woman by her hair into an apartment.

Police tracked the woman to Sharpe’s residence and discovered the disturbance involved prostitution-related activities. Upon investigation, they discovered Sharpe pandered numerous prostitutes, was a registered sex offender and illegally possessed numerous firearms.

Sharpe was arrested on seven charges, ranging from living with a prostitute to burglary to first degree kidnapping with a weapon, among others, officials said.

Follow-up investigation led to additional charges, Metro said.
