Updated Tuesday, July 24, 2012 | 10:41 a.m.

Metro Police are seeking the public’s help in finding the suspect of a shooting death in the eastern Las Vegas Valley on Sunday night.

Police officers were called at 10:22 p.m. to the 900 block of East Twain Avenue on a report of gunfire and a person down, officials said.

Arriving officers found the body of a black adult with multiple gunshot wounds, police said. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the man’s name, cause and manner of death after his next of kin is notified.

The suspect is described as a black man who is approximately 27 to 31 years old; 5-feet, 8-inches tall; and approximately 280 pounds, police said. The suspect has a large “Afro hair style” and beard and was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue shorts, police said.

The suspect was driving a white, four-door car with Nevada license plates and one broken window with blue plastic covering it, police said.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to call Metro’s homicide section at 702-828-3521, or — to remain anonymous — to contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-555 or www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
