Traffic Accidents:

Las Vegas man who died in crash identified

A 20-year-old man died after crashing his Toyota Camry over an embankment on the northbound Las Vegas Beltway at 11:35 p.m. on July 13, Nevada Highway Patrol officials said.

Preliminary investigations indicated that Ryan Corporon of Las Vegas had failed to turn as the roadway curved north of Lone Mountain. His car continued straight, traveling through the paved and dirt road shoulders, up an embankment and down the other side.

Officials said the silver Toyota flipped over and ejected Corporon from the vehicle.

A passerby discovered Corporon’s body around 6 a.m. on July 14 and notified Nevada Highway Patrol officials. Corporon was pronounced dead on scene.

Officials said Corporon was not wearing a seatbelt.
