Woman hit
A woman was struck by a car on Craig Road near Jones Boulevard as she attempted to escape with stolen money from a nearby business, Metro Police officials said.
Officials said the woman was sprinting across the middle of the street when the vehicle hit her around 4:50 p.m. Officials said she had committed petty larceny at a nearby business and was attempting to escape.
She suffered a broken hip and was transferred to University Medical Center trauma unit for treatment, but her life is not in danger, officials said.
Officials said Metro Police are looking into the potential petty larceny case.
