Mike Smith drew the cartoon. You submitted the text for the word bubble. The Sun picked the best five entries. And you picked the winner: "And I said, 'Sure honey, you can use the family room to start a little business.' "
Congratulations to the winning author: website user missionway. We'll send you an autographed copy of the cartoon complete with your caption.
It was a very close contest. Missionway got 24.3 percent of the vote, ending the two-month winning streak of user vegastony, whose entry this month, "Darn, I missed the yard sale at Lonnie Hammargren's house," received 23.9 percent of the vote.
In third place this month was user LastThroes with "I got sued for naming it 'Foreclosure Station' so I went with 'Underwater Bay.' "
Fourth place goes to Terry Cogle's Facebook entry: "Yeah, the HOA has a problem with my weeds also."
And rounding out the finalists was Martha Weyhrich's entry: "Isn't this taking 'We love locals' a little too far?"
Congratulations to all of the finalists, whose entries were selected out of more than 200. We'll see you all again next month with another contest.
