Henderson Police released these surveillance photos of the plaid-clad bank robber taken Thursday, July 25, at the U.S. Bank branch at Von’s grocery store, 2667 E. Windmill Pkwy.

Bank branch robbed

The “plaid-clad” bank robber has struck a third time, Henderson Police reported today. The latest heist: a U.S. Bank branch Thursday on East Windmill Parkway.

Officials said around 12:40 p.m. Thursday, the suspect walked into the bank branch inside the Vons grocery store at 2667 E. Windmill Pkwy. Wearing his trademark plaid shirt, the man approached the teller with a note demanding money, and the teller complied, officials said. He then took the note back and fled, officials said.

He did not show a weapon and no one was injured, officials said.

Authorities continue their search for the suspect, who is described as a 6-foot, 180-pound white male in his late 20s or early 30s, officials said. He was last seen wearing a black New York Yankees baseball cap, a white plaid shirt and blue jeans. Thursday’s bank robbery was the first time the plaid-clad robbery did not complete his outfit with a plaid hat, surveillance photos show.

Officials said they think he is the same man that robbed an America First Credit Union, 370 N. Stephanie St., on July 13 and a U.S. Bank at 830 S. Boulder Highway on July 18.

Officials urge anyone with information to call the Henderson Police Department at (702) 267-4750 or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or visit crimestoppersofnv.com.
