Getting ready for the league tournament

Las Vegas Sun reporters Ray Brewer and Taylor Bern talk about the UNLV basketball team's 74-63 victory against Wyoming on Senior Night in the regular season finale. They also breakdown next week's Mountain West Conference tournament — where UNLV is the No. 3 seed.

Four Rebels have earned All-Mountain West honors, led by UNLV sophomore forward Mike Moser’s inclusion on the first team, the league announced on Monday. No other school had as many all-conference representatives.

Along with Moser, junior guard Anthony Marshall was a second-team selection while senior guard Oscar Bellfield and senior small forward Chace Stanback were both on the third team. This is the third consecutive third-team honor for Stanback and second straight for Bellfiled, who also received honorable mention as a sophomore

Moser was also honored as the Newcomer of the Year, and both he and Marshall made the leagues All-Defensive team.

Joining Moser on the first team are Las Vegas native Hank Thorns of TCU, New Mexico’s Drew Gordon, Colorado State’s Wes Eikmeier and San Diego State’s Jamaal Franklin, who also was selected as the Player of the Year. The top-seeded Aztecs, who won their second consecutive conference title, swept the big awards with Steve Fisher taking Coach of the Year honors.

The full list of honorees can be found here.
