The November Smithereens Cartoon Caption Contest asked you to fill in a word bubble about Congress.
And the winner you picked is: "He winds down before every recess," submitted by Dale Stout.
Congratulations, Dale. We'll send you a signed copy of the cartoon with your caption.
The winner got 38 percent of the vote. The other finalists were:
- "You can wind it up all you want, it won't work unless you give it money," by user Darthfrodo, which got 29 percent of the votes.
- "Oh, that .... it's called a "lobbyist key." You crank it and he sticks his hand out," by Thomas Harris, with 15 percent of the votes.
- "Strange, he goes one way before the election, then another way after," by Patrick Foley, which got 12 percent of the votes.
- "Whats with this one? Should we wind him up and see what direction he goes in this time?" by oakland999, with 6 percent of the votes.
Congratualtaions to all the finalists. We'll be back next week with the December contest.
