Two boys were hit by cars in separate accidents Tuesday morning, Metro Police said.

This first incident was reported at 6:19 a.m. at Durango Drive and Gowan Road when a Honda Civic hit a 14- or 15-year-old boy who was jaywalking, police said.

The driver stopped to call for help, and when authorities arrived, the boy was standing, police said. He was transported to University Medical Center, police said. No information on his condition was immediately available.

The second boy was struck at Valley View Boulevard and Washington Avenue about 6:20 a.m., police said.

The boy was in a crosswalk when he was clipped by the driver’s side mirror of a Nissan Pathfinder, police said. The 12-year-old was transported to UMC with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
