Dominance of Moapa and Gorman; who's No. 2: Liberty or Arbor View?

Las Vegas Sun sports reporters Ray Brewer and Case Keefer compare the run Moapa Valley is on in the Division 1-A to the one Bishop Gorman has put together this season in the upper decision. Other familiar arguments arise, including a debate on whether Arbor View should be considered as the second-best team in the state. Give us your thoughts in the comments.

After surrendering an early touchdown, the Palo Verde High football team closed Friday’s homecoming game against visiting Sierra Vista with 62 unanswered points in a 62-7 victory.

Ryan Beaulieu rushed, caught and returned a punt for a touchdown in helping Palo Verde led 55-7 at halftime. Beaulieu finished with two carries for 74 yards and a touchdown, and one catch for 43 yards and another score.

Lee Griggs had eight carries for 105 yards and two touchdowns, and Parker Rost completed all three of his passes for 83 yards and two touchdowns. Christian D’Orazio-Martin scored on a 16-yard pass from Rost to cap the first-half scoring.

Palo Verde scored 35 points in the first quarter, including an interception return for a touchdown from Keyyon Metoyer-Bush.
