Kurtis Brooks and Andre Munyan ran for three touchdowns apiece to lead Desert Oasis High to a 44-20 victory over Bonanza High.

Brooks rushed for 154 yards, while Munyan ran for 139.

“We did a good job at controlling the ball in getting the victory,” Desert Oasis coach Scott Staudinger said.

The Diamondbacks jumped out to a 26-13 lead at the half before their defense buckled down in the second half to limit Bonanza to seven points.

“It was a team effort defensively,” Staudinger said.

Herman Smith connected with Jamil Mitchell for Desert Oasis’ only non-rushing score.

The Diamondbacks upped their record to 2-6 (1-3 conference), while the Bengals fell to 1-7 (0-4).

Desert Oasis wraps up the regular season with a game against powerhouse Bishop Gorman, while Bonanza draws Cimarron-Memorial.
