Our disorganized and dysfunctional Republican Party is being outmaneuvered again. Of course, both parties have broken and skirted so many rules it is difficult to separate the factual from the wishful.

The Republicans back states’ rights for voting laws and have proposed putting more teeth in them — just not in this election in Nevada.

They filed a lawsuit to knock “none of these candidates” off the Nevada ballot in order to gain an advantage.

A faction of 11 people, financed by the Republican National Committee, sought to temporally disenfranchise party members, the intent being to inhibit our protest vote and direct it to the perceived lesser of two evils.

Unwarranted delays by a federal court judge to declare the state law unconstitutional were only stopped last week by an appellate court.

What happened to “states’ rights” as I studied in high school civics classes so many years ago? Whatever also happened to, “If you don’t like your elected representatives, simply vote them out?”
