Berkley, Heck, Oceguera to headline candidates night in Henderson

With the election season in full swing, a slate of candidates for local and national office will take questions and present their policy positions at an event Sunday night in Henderson.

Rep. Shelley Berkley, who is running for U.S. Senate, and Rep. Joe Heck, who is running for re-election in Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District, will headline the event at Midbar Kodesh Temple, 1940 Paseo Verde Parkway.

John Oceguera, the 2011 Nevada Assembly Speaker who is running for Congress against Heck, will also speak at the event, along with candidates for Assembly districts representing Green Valley, Green Valley Ranch, McDonald Ranch, Anthem and Seven Hills.

U.S. Sen. Dean Heller, who is running against Berkley, will not be able to attend.

Political pundit Jon Ralston will moderate the question-and-answer session, which begins at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
