Gorman blanks Legacy in first game against local opponent

Anu Solomon was a perfect 12-for-12 passing with four touchdowns Friday in leading the Bishop Gorman High football team past visiting Legacy, 70-0, in the Southwest League opener.

Gorman (4-1, 1-0), which was playing its first local opponent after winning three of four games against national competition to open the season, led 49-0 at halftime.

Solomon threw a pair of touchdown passes to Ryan Smith and one each to Jamir Tillman and Justin Sweet.

Randall Cunningham Jr. rushed for a pair of touchdowns and passed for another score to Sweet, who also rushed for a touchdown.

Daniel Stewart and Dylan Weldon added running touchdowns for Gorman.
