Motorcyclist hospitalized after collision with school bus

Crash

A school bus collided with a motorcycle Tuesday afternoon at Eastern Avenue and Old Forge Lane, Metro Police officials said.

Police said the motorcycle hit the back of a Clark County School District bus at the intersection just south of Sahara Avenue. There was one child and a driver on the bus, but no one was injured. The bus was nearing the end of its route dropping students off at home from Ruby Thomas Elementary School, district officials said.

The motorcyclist was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with a leg injury. Police said the motorcyclist's injury was not life threatening.

Officers are investigating the collision.
