Second victim in Mesquite double homicide is identified

The second victim in a double homicide in Mesquite has been identified as 57-year-old Mark Anthony Parenti, of Mesquite, Mesquite Police officials said.

Mesquite Police detectives discovered Parenti’s body concealed in the basement of a Mesquite home on Monday. The Clark County Coroner’s Office said Parenti died from asphyxiation.

Detectives had been investigating the homicide of Michael Eldridge, who was stabbed to death on Saturday, when they learned of a second victim and suspect. Metro Police arrested Ryan Wood, 43, in connection with both homicides.

Mesquite Officers arrested Jeramiah Juber, 30, of Hurricane, Utah, in connection with the death of Parenti.
