Area of crash
A woman was transported to an area hospital in critical condition after a two-vehicle collision Wednesday night in southwest Las Vegas.
The wreck occurred around 8:35 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Durango Drive and Gomer Road, Metro Police Officer Larry Hadfield said. The collision involved an SUV and a sedan, and damaged a light pole in the area, he said.
One woman was transported to University Medical Center's Trauma Center in critical condition but was expected to survive, Hadfield said. Another person involved in the crash was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, he said.
Metro completed the investigation of the crash and issued a traffic citation to one of the drivers, Hadfield said. No further details were available.
