Pedestrian crossing Boulder Highway is hit, killed

A 75-year-old man died this morning after a car hit him while he was crossing Boulder Highway.

Henderson Police responded to the collision about 4:35 a.m. at Boulder Highway, near Horizon Drive. The man attempted to cross the street outside a marked crosswalk when a woman driving an Acura sedan south on Boulder Highway hit him, Henderson Police spokesman Keith Paul said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name after he has been identified and his next of kin has been notified, Paul said.

Henderson Police is investigating the crash.
