Updated Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013 | 2:11 p.m.

Two areas of Clark County are under flash flood warnings until later this afternoon.

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas issued a flash flood warning for north-central Clark County that will expire at 2:15 p.m. Locations affected by the warning include Hayford Park.

The weather service also issued a flash flood warning for west-central Clark County that has been extended until 4 p.m., covering an area that includes Lee Canyon and State Routes 156 and 158.

At 11:58 a.m., Doppler radar indicated heavy rain from a thunderstorm near Hayford Peak, 23 miles north of Floyd Lamb Park. The storm was nearly stationary.

Flash flooding is expected on area roads, around underpasses and in normally dry washes and low-lying areas.
