Frankie Moreno, headliner at Stratosphere

What person, living or dead, do you admire most?

Mozart. I'm a huge fan. He's always been a big inspiration to me.

What is the quality you like best about a person?

Good personality and confidence in what they do. Not too much confidence, though :)

What are you currently reading?

I mostly lean towards biographies on people I'm interested in. Just started Houdini.

How do you prefer to get your news and literature — digital or hard copy?

I prefer word of mouth. It makes it much more interesting and elaborated.

What is your most recognizable characteristic?

Wow, I don't know. Probably anything about me that I don't like.

Which words or phrases do you overuse?

I grew up on a beach, so naturally words like "dude" or "rad."

What makes you happy?

Playing music. Listening to music. Writing music. Seeing how music touches people. Cooking.

What is your most prized possession?

I have a plank from the floor of Mozart's apartment in Vienna. Rad.

What is your most embarrassing moment as a prominent figure?

Jumping up on my piano and ripping the seat out of my pants.

If you could make up the Nevada state motto, what would it be?

I would write a song about how it's hot as hell in summer.

What is your greatest accomplishment in 2013?

Setting higher standards for everything I was working on. Much more focused now.

Any regrets this past year?

Not having enough time with my two boys. This year will be better.

What is your top priority moving into 2014?

My new way of thinking is "No Excuses." Everything will be better this year.
