The Las Vegas Wranglers extended their winning streak Saturday to seven consecutive games.

Despite trailing by two goals after the first period, the Wranglers rallied for a victory at the Ontario Reign when defenseman Channing Boe scored his fourth goal of the season just 39 seconds into overtime for a 4-3 victory.

Las Vegas trailed most of the game, trimming its deficit to 2-1 six minutes into the second period on a goal from left wing Adam Hughesman. In the third period, the Wranglers’ Scott Pitt scored on the power play to even the score at 2-all, but Ontario took a 3-2 lead at the 10:51 mark of the period.

The Wranglers tied the game at three with less than five minutes to play on a goal from left wing Josh Lunden to force overtime. Boe did the rest in giving Las Vegas its second win in as many nights — Friday, Eric Lampe scored 72 seconds into the game to give the Wranglers the lead for good in a 4-1 win at Bakersfield.

The Wranglers’ road trip continues Wednesday at the Utah Grizzlies. They return to the Orleans Arena for a pair of games against Idaho next Friday and Feb. 17, which is the organization’s second annual Wranglers Midnight Circus, featuring live aerial and contortionist acts on the concourse and ice at 11:59 p.m.
