Federal and local authorities were executing search warrants Wednesday at multiple locations across the Las Vegas Valley as part of drug investigation, officials said.

Natalie Collins, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Las Vegas, said one of the warrants was executed at a property in the 3600 block of South Highland Drive. A Sun photographer reported seeing law enforcement authorities going in and out of the Power Exchange sex club, 3610 S. Highland Drive, and captured images of authorities removing evidence from a warehouse behind the club. Collins said the warrant only identified an address and did not differentiate between businesses at the address.

Special agents with Homeland Security Investigations were executing the warrants with assistance from Metro.

Because the federal search warrants are under seal, no further information can be released at this point about the ongoing criminal investigation, said Virginia Kice, a spokeswoman with the U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement.

“This enforcement action is being carried out by the authority of a court warrant,” Kice said.

A source familiar with the investigation said the investigation was not immigration-related but rather part of an investigation possibly involving synthetic drugs.
